Youth H.O.M.E. Trip Donation Opportunities

The H.O.M.E. Trip will return to Orland Maine, where high school volunteers along with adult leaders and college leaders will help improve the lives of those less needy within that rural community. Our success in helping others depends on the energies, time, talents, and contributions of many many people.

Even if you are not actually making the trip to Orland Maine you can help by making a contribution to the HOME youth and mission project. Your contributions cover the cost of transportation, meals for the participants, construction materials, and scholarships that allow some who cannot pay their own way to Orland to still participate.

Below is a list of ways you can help and how much it costs for each of the major needs we have. Just select an area and help us to help others. Your contributions will bring you a rich reward as you know you will be helping others whom are not as fortunate as us.

Service Areas:

HOME Scholarships:

All participants, both youth and adults, are asked to pay their own expenses. This helps to cover the costs of some who wish to participate but cannot cover their own costs to and from Orland.

$400 each

HOME Expense Fund:

Getting to Orland Maine with so many participants, with all of our supplies, and with the many donations of materials and goods that we receive is a logistical challenge. And, of course, while we are in Orland we need to eat and sleep. So, there are many ways you can help us with the expenses we incur to transport our supplies and to house and feed our participants. Below is a list of the major ways in which you can help. The "Cost" is the estimated cost of each of these needs. Help us in any way you can.

  • 12 Passenger Vans
    (We need 12 units)
  • Mini Van / Explorers
    (We need 5 units)
  • Large U-Haul Trucks
    (We need 2 units)
  • Tank of Gas

$100 increments

Approx. $5.00 per person, per meal. We have 120 volunteers and need 15 meals per person.

$420 per meal

We sell T-Shirts with HOME and Orland Maine on the shirts. This helps us raise funds and to spread the message of this outreach effort. The proceeds go to the Home Expense Fund.

Individual Donations:

Our purpose in going to Orland is to help the people of this rural community. This usually means building, fixing, constructing, and anything else that represents a need in this community. We buy building supplies, shingles for a roof, plumbing for a home, window replacements for a house in need, and many many other items. Contributions often mean the difference between what we can and cannot do.

Individual Donations are a way for everyone to help directly with what we do. The monies we receive as Individual Donations are used for construction supplies. Any dollar contribution is welcome and appreciated.

In addition to your contributions, all of our participants are asked to raise a minimum of $250 of individual donations through solicitations of friends, family and acquaintances.

In Any Amount

Home General Fund:

Of course, you don't have to have a specific reason to contribute to our H.O.M.E. youth and mission project. You can make a general contribution to HOME that will be used where ever the need might be. Please contribute any amount to the HOME General Fund.

Any excess in contribution monies after the trip expenses, are donated to H.O.M.E.

Thank you, and God bless you!
